Companies need to be able to benefit from data. This must always be done in line with the human right to privacy and on the basis of a number of ethical principles. Companies that apply data ethics principles work to identify the most critical risks that the use of data may entail in the short and long term. The company develops products and services based on these insights.
8.1 Data ethics
The company should be aware in its external data processing that a human being is not a computer process or a piece of software, but a unique person with empathy, desires, unpredictability, intuition and creativity. The person has a higher status than the machine. The person is at the centre and draws the primary benefit from the processing.
