Criteria
Learn more about the criteria for IT security and responsible data usage that form the basis of the D-seal - the first labeling program in the world to combine these two elements in one label.
What the criteria require and how you meet them
To obtain the D-seal, a company must meet several criteria in areas such as IT security, data protection, and data ethics, which are based on international standards and tailored to each type of business.
When you start the process of becoming D-sealed, your company will be placed into one of four different business groups, each with its own criteria. The group's criteria depend on the company's size, business model, and use of data and IT services.
There are a total of 8 main criteria, which you can see in the overview below. Each criteria has different sub-criteria and requirements that can vary depending on your company. You can get an overview of the criteria your company needs to meet by registering in the D-seal's self-assessment tool and answer the first questions.
